Recently Elase co-owners and husband and wife team, Matt Brinton and Carrie Brinton were featured in the well known business publication of Forbes magazine. Their creative approach to business helped them thrive during the economic recession of 2008.
When a successful corporate attorney and savvy marketer & businesswoman marry, it’s not hard to predict that sparks will fly. In 2004 Matt and Carrie Brinton opened the Elase Medical Spa, offering cosmetic medical procedures that included laser hair removal within a retail setting—which was a novel concept at the time. The idea of creating a spa experience with medical results and supervision was something very new in 2004. I recently met founder Matt Brinton who, with his wife Carrie Brinton, not only successfully kept their high-end spa business alive through the Great Recession, they’ve thrived.
