How it works

Step 1

You will begin your appointment with a consultation with your provider to discuss your treatment goals and address any concerns.

Step 2

Your provider will draw a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm (similar to a standard blood draw). The collected blood is then placed in a centrifuge, a device that spins the blood at high speeds to separate the platelet-rich plasma, or fibrin, from the other elements in the blood.

Step 3

If needed, your provider can apply ice packs or a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort. They will then inject the platelet-rich plasma or fibrin into determined treatment areas.

Wash your hair the day of your appointment and refrain from using styling products.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
Avoid aspirin for 3 days before your treatment, as it may increase the likelihood of bruising.

Refrain from washing your hair for 6 hours after treatment.
Avoid all other hair products for at least 3 days.
Avoid direct sunlight until healed and wear a clean, non-sweaty hat or covering when outside for 48 hours after treatment

While this varies by individual, clients generally receive three to four treatments in order to see optimal results.

You may experience some tenderness or swelling for up to 24 hours after your treatment. You can take acetaminophen if you experience any discomfort. Avoid any strenuous exercise that can cause you to sweat 24-48 hours after your treatment.
