Frequently Asked Questions

The best way to find out is a complimentary consultation with an Elase provider. We'll assess your skin, listen to your goals, and give you an honest recommendation: whether that is Ultherapy, a different treatment, or a combination approach. There's no obligation, just a real conversation.
Absolutely, and many of our clients do. Ultherapy pairs beautifully with Botox or wrinkle relaxers (to smooth expression lines), dermal fillers (to restore volume), and facial treatments like HydraFacial (to refresh the skin's surface). Your Elase provider can help you build a plan that addresses all of your goals together.
The ideal candidate is an adult with mild to moderate skin laxity who wants to lift and tighten without surgery. Common concerns include a drooping brow, loose skin along the jawline or under the chin, or lines and crepiness on the chest. Ultherapy PRIME® is safe for all skin tones. Clients in their 30s through 50s tend to see the best results, though older clients can also benefit.
None at all. You can return to normal activities immediately after your session. Some clients notice mild, temporary redness, slight puffiness, or a tingling sensation, but this typically clears up within a few hours. Most people look perfectly normal right after treatment.
Most clients achieve their goals with just one treatment session. Your Elase provider may recommend a follow-up session one to two years later to maintain results, depending on how your skin ages naturally.
They do very different things. Botox relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines; dermal fillers add volume. Ultherapy actually lifts and tightens loose skin by rebuilding the structural layer beneath it. A surgical facelift does the same thing, but with incisions and recovery time. Ultherapy offers a non-surgical path to a similar outcome for patients with mild to moderate laxity.
Ultherapy PRIME® is the latest generation of the platform. It delivers treatments up to 20% faster than legacy Ultherapy, with enhanced real-time imaging and more precise energy delivery, all while delivering the same long-lasting lifting results that have made Ultherapy the gold standard for a decade.
Comfort levels vary from person to person. During the treatment, you may feel brief sensations of warmth, tingling, or prickling as the ultrasound energy is delivered. That is a positive sign that the collagen-building process has started. Your Elase provider will walk you through comfort options before you begin, and many clients find it very manageable.
Most clients enjoy results that last a year or more from a single treatment session. Because the treatment works by stimulating your own collagen production, results develop gradually and continue improving for two to three months after your appointment. Many clients choose to come back annually to maintain their results.
Yes. Ultherapy is the only non-invasive skin lifting treatment FDA-cleared to lift the brow, the neck, and the skin under the chin, and to improve lines and wrinkles on the décolleté. It is also the only such device with real-time ultrasound imaging built in.
Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound energy to create precise heat points deep within the skin, at the same structural support layer that surgeons target in a facelift. This triggers your body's natural healing response, which produces new collagen and elastin over the following two to three months. The result is firmer, tighter, more lifted skin, from the inside out. The surface of your skin is not damaged.
